Tacoma News Tribune Obituary: Thomas Leo Morgan,COL (R) US ARMY
Thomas Leo Morgan died at the age of 90 at his home in Spanaway, WA on September 22, 2011.
He is survived by his son Thomas Leo Morgan, Jr and his daughters Emily Morgan and Janise Kiger, their seven children and their seven grandchildren.
A hightly decorated veteren, Thomas served his coutry in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. His military career spanned thirty-two years after which he settled in Spanaway.
Following retirement, he served as an elected mmber of the Bethel School District. An avid horseman, Thomas managed the Tacoma Unit and was a stewart and judge for many horse shows.
COL Morgan was a devout and active parishoner of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church and a Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus.
Thomas will be interned at Tahoma National Cemetery, with full military honors at 10:15am on Tuesday, 27 September 2011.
